My Story

Back in 2005 I was working as a young, busy Personal Trainer in a major chain gym. Even though I was doing well in terms of numbers of sessions delivered per week I was not happy.

I loved Personal Training but there was something missing. I wanted to progress further but I had nowhere to go as my hours were capped, which made me ask the question at 23 years of age:

Is this it for the rest of my life?

That was a scary thought! As a result I started searching for something more, something that was going to stimulate my mind and ignite that passion I first has had after qualifying as a Personal Trainer.

I spent many years setting up Boot Camps and corporate health courses, wellbeing retreats, weight loss classes but one thing I was still lacking was TIME!

As a busy PT I had no time to push these things because I had to earn money and as a PT that meant selling more hours and there were simply no more hours left in the day.

That is when I looked into the idea of selling product instead of service. Naturally I looked to supplements as they are popular in our industry but something I had always been skeptical about.

So I started looking into the pro's and con's of supplements and learnt from many of the 'experts' in our industry included Paul Chek and Charles Poliquin, who were using natural herbs successfully in weight loss and performance.

I also looked at many different supplement suppliers when I came across one in particular that not only provided good/ok products but had a business model behind it called 'Network Marketing.'

Network Marketing was something I had never heard of before and naturally I wanted to learn more. When I looked into the Network Marketing model further I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. There were people out there literally earning millions from this model.

After a couple of weeks of further investigation I decided to give it a go and I became an independent distributer. Following just a couple of months I started to become a little uneasy about the way this particular company was doing things and as a result eventually left the company for two main reasons:

1. As my knowledge about supplements increased I realised there were better products out there.
2. I felt the Network Marketing model they used was not ethical. It was a hard decision to leave this company as the revenue I was receiving from the model was paying off my mortgage alone.

However, it gave me invaluable leasons about supplements and good/bad Network Marketing models so I have no regrets!

A NEW start
I eventually left on moral grounds and new if I found the best supplement supplier with the best/most ethical network marketing model I knew it wouldn't take me long to get back up to that earning bracket again!

I didn't actually find that company until 18 months later through many conversations and meetings with a great friend of mine and a fellow PT, Jon Burgess. The company I found and the one Jon introduced me to was called Nature's Sunshine and it is this company I am proud to say has accelerated many of my clients results and had a huge impact on my life both from a health point of view and financially.

Jon is now my mentor and has helped me learn so much about the power of herbs and how they can not only accelerate fat loss but also improve health and rid body from disease including, IBS, high blood pressure, cold & flus, diabetes, high cholesterol, parasite infections, constipation etc.

Alongside the results me, my family and my clients have received I am earning a fantastic secondary income that allows me to work with fewer clients, provides an income that requires little of my time, allows me the time to provide a much higher level of service to my PT clients and I can spend much more time with my family.

Nature's Sunshine have not built their business around the network marketing model but instead around quality, raw, wild crafted supplements. The network marketing model used by Nature's Sunshine is so different to anything else I have seen because there is such an emphasis on helping the people in your down-line grow and achieve excellent results. It is not build on greed like many others!
